Back to school Tran-Quill writing kit giveaway

Print Friendly

Some people have started back to school, and others will be starting soon. We are starting back this week, so I thought that it would be the perfect time to share some information about the Tran-Quill writing kit, and to give one away to one lucky reader. The Tran-Quill kit has a vibrating base, with removable pencil tips, pen tips, pencil grips, and chewy tip where an eraser would be. It is a good set for someone who needs extra sensory input when writing.

The vibration is mild, so it is a good stimulant to the hand muscles and sensory system, without being strong enough to change how the tool writes. The chewy tip is great for those kids who need extra oral input and really like to chew on pencil tops, with an added vibration factor. This pencil could really help those kids who have poor proprioception in their hands and need a stronger sensation. There is even an add-on (which is not included in the kit give away) of a weighted tip which replaces the chewy top.

The kit comes with two butter grips, and a triangle grip as well. The butter grips are round, and similar (but smaller) than an Egg Ohs! pencil grip . The triangle grip is the basic triangle shape.

I would like to get this for my grandaughter, age 4, almost five. She chews on everything. Never heard of edible tips before. Might save her from poisoning herself. Everythin goes to her mouth like a baby for the stimulation. She is ADHD but no evidence of ET as yet. Personality is like what goes with ET in my family. Good for many different types of personalities or just plan “ole ordinary learning”.

Oh my! This would be so perfect for my son with SPD and Mixed Developmental Disability. He hates handwriting and we (me and his OT) are trying everything we can think of to help him without much success at this point. He has poor fine motor skills and is very oral (always chewing on something) so this would be absolutely amazing!

    Thanks for sharing 🙂
